a wee yummy tale . . . .

one day a knit-cooker-wannabe met a cook-knitter-wannabe ... and, my friends ... the rest is history !

i certainly have my favorites (which, i will never apologize for!), and knitting and food are very dear to my heart. i branched out during/after the disintegration of a long and overdue relationship. i'm still in the midst of that concoction. still experiencing the mysteries and surprises, the mixes and upsets, and the discoveries.

and, in that breath ... just check out this website (thanks MOM!). need i say more? i will if you ask ....
oh! and a bit more ...

but, onto the food ! jackie is my (kitchen) person (ha! ha! funny grey's analogy there ...) . she's amazing. i have had the privilege of hanging out with her and her hippie, usually every sunday day ... all day ... in a cloud of knitting in the kitchen, watching her cook the most delicious and healthy foods, and loving every EVERY minute of it.

what has she gotten in return? i don't know! i mean, i show up, i talk endlessly, i knit, i complain, i tell the kitty, "no, you cannot jump onto my lap!". and i admire the kitties ... if i was not allergic ... (mom, should i get allergy shots?) ... i would SO have a cat! i use to not like cats. i think that was some defensive thing because i can't really enjoy them properly.

... oh ... this was suppose to be about food ?! ... foooood ....

but first ... the wine . . . .

dude! what's this cheap stuff?! hmmm ... it was kinda discounted at the harris teeter. and, damn! i'm certain that my crystal glass cost MORE than this bottle of vino!

oh! that's better! ... nothing like a good wine cozy to hide the cheapness ! thanks scarlet !

oh! food! ... yes! ... so, onto the food ... so, thanks to ms. jackie (click linky dinks above), i can cook! see ...

roasted chicken ... finally ....!

ps ... i ate most of the skin fresh from the oven!
